Guidelines

for your interest in submitting work.
we
currently are looking for writing that explores the meaning and
role of wilderness and photographs that offer unique views of
wilderness. we accept any writing up to 2,000 words.
currently,
there is no set publication schedule: we hope to add a new batch
of work on a monthly basis going forward.
published
writers and photographers will receive a natural soul hat or visor
as a small gratuity once we raise enough funds to print a run.
links to artist's sites will be provided.
artists
retain all rights associated with their work. we do consider previously
published work.
submissions
are accepted via email or by regular mail. if you send your work
via mail and would like it returned, please enclose a self-addressed
stamped envelope.

suggested donation of $2 -$5, (per manuscript + per 5 images),
which will help our launch, maintenance, and grant fund. a donation
does not guarantee publication. all work will go through an editorial
review process.
donations
are accepted via cash, check, or pay-pal. please include your
name and title of piece(s) with your donation.

these
donations will aid individuals and organizations that have a specific
mission or trip that helps protect or explores wilderness. we
cannot provide a great deal at first, but in a grassroots effort,
every bit helps. with the continued success of the journal, we
hope to eventually provide larger grants as well as attain nonprofit
status.
